Terms
Last updated 12 October 2026
The short version: the page is yours, the clients are yours, we take no commission, and you can leave whenever you like and take your list with you.
These terms are between YSB Designs ("we") and whoever opens an account ("you"). Using Booked In means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
What you get
A booking page at your own link, a diary, and email confirmations.
Every booking page carries a small "Powered by Booked In" line in its footer, on every plan, and that does not come off. It is how other studios find us, and it is part of what makes the free tier possible. Pro does not remove it.
Pro adds reminders before appointments, rebooking emails to clients who are due, and story cards in your own colours without our mark on them, for £10 a month or £96 a year.
We will tell you what is built and what is not. Anything described as coming is not promised by a date, and you should not subscribe for something that does not exist yet.
Your account
- One studio per account.
- Your sign-in link goes to your email, so keep that email secure.
- Your page link is first come, first served. We keep a short list of names reserved for the service itself.
- You are responsible for what you put on your page — your prices, your treatments, and your photographs being yours to use.
Your clients are yours
We will never contact them to sell them anything, and we will never advertise another studio to them. You can export your client list whenever you want. If you leave, you take it with you and we delete our copy.
In data protection terms you are the controller for your clients' details and we are your processor. Practically, that means you need to be straight with your clients about what you do with their information, and we only touch it to make your page work.
Money
- Your clients pay you, however you already take payment. We never sit between you and that money and we take no commission, whether you take £200 a week or £2,000.
- Pro is billed in advance by Stripe, monthly or yearly.
- Cancel whenever you like. Your page keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then drops to free. We do not refund part of a period, and we will not charge you again after you cancel.
- If a payment fails we will keep you on Pro while Stripe retries, rather than cutting you off mid-week.
- If we change the price, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice and can cancel before it applies.
What we ask of you
Do not use Booked In for anything illegal, do not upload photographs you do not have the right to use or that you have not got your clients' permission for, and do not try to break into other people's accounts. If you do any of that we can close your account, and we will tell you why.
What we can honestly promise
We will look after your data carefully and fix things quickly. We cannot promise the service is never down. There is no uptime guarantee on the free tier, and we are honest enough not to invent one for Pro either — we rely on Supabase and Render, and if they have a bad day, so do we.
Booked In is a booking page, not your accountant or your insurer. Keep your own records.
If something goes wrong
If we are at fault, what you can claim back is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time from your dashboard. We can close an account that breaks these terms, or give you at least 30 days' notice if we stop running the service — and if we ever do stop, you will get your data out first.
The legal bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute. If one part of this turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we change these terms we will update the date above and email you if the change actually matters.
